Establishing an integrated sourcing network to increase fruit and cocoa supply
GIZ
The primary goal of the GIZ project is to enhance economic engagement among Sierra Leone’s population and local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by fostering job opportunities. This initiative aims to target 30% youth and 30% women for inclusion. Furthermore, it seeks to integrate local MSMEs into Capitol Foods’ value chain as incorporated sourcing agents, providers of transportation services, distributors, and sales agents. Within the scope of this project, Capitol will concentrate on advancing the Fruits (Pineapple, Mango, Tamarind, Coconut, and Orange) and Cocoa Value Chains.
